Self-initiated Product and Initiative Concept
Vodi me revitalizes Zagreb's overlooked historical taps, Franceki, for new flows of interaction with drinking water in public space, through education and inventing new functional extensions.
Highlighted in parks and markets, interventions open up discussion on the universal right of access to free clean drinking water, protesting the single-use plastic bottles and increasing commercialization of water.
Adapting existing sources through non-invasive interventions, instead of requiring new infrastructure, preserves Franceki as centuries-old microlocations of urban gathering and nostalgia — and an irreplaceable symbol of Zagreb's urban identity.
Franceki
Historically installed to supply water to new settlements of the expanding city of Zagreb in the 19th century, they can be adapted to modern ways of consuming water in public spaces.

New ways of drinking
Extension parts shape water flow patterns to improve experience of existing sources and add new use — can also be implemented in the home or garden.
Web Platform Concept
Mapping existing water sources in the city, for easy navigation in moments of thirst, as well as
educating on the importance of water for the individual and community.
