Vodi me

Modernizing historical water sources for new urban use and identity, focusing on access to water in public space

Vodi me revitalizes Zagreb’s overlooked historical taps, Franceki, for new flows of interaction with drinking water in public space, through education and inventing new functional extensions.

Highlighted in parks and markets, interventions open up discussion on the universal right of access to free clean drinking water, protesting the single-use plastic bottles and increasing commercialization of water.

Adapting existing sources through non-invasive interventions, instead of requiring new infrastructure, preserves Franceki as centuries-old microlocations of urban gathering and nostalgia — and an irreplaceable symbol of Zagreb’s urban identity.
